Along with that, I've managed to delete all the comments that you all have so kindly left before now - Something about being a no-reply blogger, and my emails were all iffy! I think I prefer having old blogger comments to the newer google+ ones any way!! Again sorry about that - hopefully this will make it easier for you all to comment, as I will actually get an email saying you have!!!
RIGHT-O on to currently! I love this linky, Farley over at Oh' boy! 4th Grade has this linky, and last month it was the first one I participated in! NOW I'M HOOKED
Here is my currently
Listening - We are pushing self reflection in our teacher PD this year, and this is moving on down to the kidlets. We made our own mini versions of our class SR posters as a reminder at the start of term 3. I love that the kids are starting to articulate WHY they are at the level they are at. (PS Check us out at instagram - @theezclass)
Loving - Apart from the fact that my birthday is in August, I LOVE daffodils. They are so bright and cheerful, and I love that they are a symbol of hope for those suffering from cancer (at least they are in NZ!)
Thinking - With this being the end of week one (wow that went fast) we now have only 8 weeks until the next holidays, and straight after that is testing and report writing time! I'm not ready!!!
Wanting - Goes with the top of this post, I love technology, when it does what I want! It doesn't like me at the moment.
Needing - I have really bad sleeping patterns at the moment (staying up too late, meaning I'm tired in the morning). Gotta snap out of it - FAST!
B2S Must haves - Well our B2S was only after winter break, so it's slightly different, but still needed for all of us. I think they are quite self explanatory - but I do want to show you a sneaky pic of our stationary caddies (after 1 week the kids are SOOO excited about it and not one pen has gone missing!!). I'll write about them in more detail another time.
I got these from the Look Sharp store (A bit like dollar tree) |
Added pens etc |
Bob's your uncle! |
So how 'bout you join me over at Oh' Boy! 4th grade and tell me your currently!
Erin
Hi! I'm visiting from Currently! You've already started back and I'm right behind you! And I totally understand with technology. At my school we have several computers, but only a few work unfortunately :-(

Buzzing With Mrs. McClain
Technically we "Started back" in February (We are in New Zealand!). Thanks so much for stopping by! It's always great to see what others are doing in their classrooms. It just shows us that kids are kids all over the world.

My birthday is in August too! :) Good luck with your test prep - I know how stressful that time can be.

I'm visiting from Currently as well! I really enjoyed your answers. And I totally get you about the technology problems! If it wasn't for online tutorials, I would have nothing done! Haha. And I'm jealous of those stationary containers! Cute!
ReplyDeleteHannah
Cute in the Classroom.
My problem was that the online tutorial didn't work! Haha, ohwell - I kinda like the new blog background as it is (even if someone else did design it!)
DeleteThe stationary containers were probably one of the best buys I've ever made!
Thanks for stopping by!

Hello! Another visitor from the currently! Love those caddies they are so cool looking compared to the ones we have here in the states. Also, love how your students reflect on their work. So powerful!

Shepherd's Shining Stars
Thanks! It's a big push in our school, but to be honest I think I will do it for the rest of my teaching career! It really is powerful, and you really get to know your learners by it.
DeleteThanks for stopping by!

How nice to have daffodils now! My daffodils have been gone for months. :( I love your bins! So colourful!

Thanks for stopping by Andrea! I love how Farley's linky gets us to meet new blogs each month!

I am an August baby too. It is my favorite month. Our daffodils bloom in April so they are long gone. August is my favorite month ~ it is our last month of summer. The days are still sunny and warm, but it cools off at night. Lots of beautiful flowers blooming and birds singing. Plus it means I get to head back to school soon :) Have a great weekend!

First Grade Carousel
Hey Maria! thanks for stopping by, August is my favourite too! It's been really warm here in NZ (well atleast the city I live in anyway) the last few days! My mum is heading to San Francisco tomorrow and the weather here in the middle of winter is warmer than it is there in the middle of summer!! NOT normal :)
