Sometimes I wish - Sep 13

This week has been much nicer than last week!  Still far too many interruptions, and I've been out of the classroom for quite a bit this week!  I'm exhausted!!! We had our school concert/talent quest last night - but I'll tell you all about that in my Five for Friday post tomorrow.

Without further ado, my "Sometimes I wish..." moment is this!!!

Sometimes I wish... I had more patience with the difficult kids in my class.  

My behaviour management has always been something that I've had to work on.  It's not something that has come naturally to me.  I'm awesome at coming up with lessons that promote accelerated progress, and integrating throughout the curriculum (while it sometimes annoys me) is also something that I'm quite good at.

However, when it comes to difficult kids I struggle a little bit.  I'm not talking about the cheeky kids that back chat every now and then.  Or even the kid who is always calling out or in the wrong place.  No - I'm talking about that kid that is so incredibly disrespectful that it makes to angry!  All you want to do is wipe that smirk off their face - and maybe throw them out the window...  Hmmm even this post makes me a tiny bit angry!  I think I'm ready for those holidays now!!!

I wish I had more patience for those kids that are hard to love.  The ones with the smirks, and the body language that screams "I don't care!"  The kids who have everything going for them except for that attitude that pushes all your buttons as a teacher.
